Somersby Apple is an apple cider with an alcohol content of 4.5%. It is the classic flavor in the Somersby range: bright apple, noticeable sweetness, and a light acidity that makes the drink feel fresher.

The apple flavor comes through immediately and remains dominant all the way through the finish. The cider is slightly sweet, but the fruity acidity and carbonation balance the sweetness well, keeping the drink light and refreshing.

The aroma is distinctly apple-forward as well — fresh and fruity, with subtle floral notes reminiscent of apple blossom. There is no need for complicated tasting here: Somersby delivers exactly the flavor its name promises.

The drink is based on apple wine and apple juice from concentrate. It also contains water, sugar, carbon dioxide, citric acid, natural flavoring, preservative, and caramel coloring.

Somersby Apple is best served well chilled. The producer recommends a temperature of around 5–7 °C, while another signature serving option is to pour the cider into a large glass over ice. This makes the apple flavor taste especially fresh.

It pairs well with pizza, light salads, seafood, and sweet-and-sour dishes. But most of the time, Somersby does not really need food alongside it — it is perfectly enjoyable on its own whenever you want a cold fruity drink with a relatively low alcohol content.

Somersby was launched as a Danish Carlsberg brand and is now sold in many countries. In Estonia, Somersby is part of the Saku Õlletehas range, and the 0.5 L Apple version remains one of the core products in the lineup.
