Old Tbilisi Alazani Red is produced in Georgia, in the Kakheti region, from Saperavi grapes. It is a rich semi-sweet wine with a pronounced berry character, soft silky tannins, and a long finish.
The aroma reveals blackberry, blackcurrant, and cherry, complemented by subtle spicy notes. On the palate, fruity sweetness is combined with the richness typical of Saperavi, keeping the wine vivid while still smooth and easy to drink.
The grapes are harvested in the Alazani Valley. According to Anora Estonia, after fermentation and skin contact, the wine is aged for around a year in used French oak barrels, adding deeper and more spicy nuances.
Old Tbilisi Alazani Red pairs well with meat dishes, smoked foods, spicy cuisine, khinkali, and other hearty appetizers. The recommended serving temperature is around 16 °C.
