Bacardi Oakheart 0.5 L

Bacardi Oakheart Original Spiced is a rum-based spirit with an alcohol content of 32,5%. Oakheart was introduced to the Bacardi range as a richer, spicier option with distinctive notes of oak, vanilla, and spices.

At the heart of its character is rum aged in charred American oak barrels. Contact with the wood gives the drink a deeper flavor, a touch of smokiness, and characteristic woody notes.

Sweet notes of maple and honey are especially noticeable on the palate. These are followed by vanilla, caramel, and smooth spicy nuances, while a light smokiness makes the flavor fuller and more distinctive.

The aroma is warm and rich: vanilla and caramel combine with spices, woody notes, and the character of the rum base. Despite its pronounced flavor, the drink remains fairly smooth and works well with simple serves that do not require complicated combinations.

Oakheart can be enjoyed over ice or used in cocktails. One of the most natural combinations is with cola and ice: the sweetness and caramel notes of the cola complement the drink’s vanilla-spice profile nicely.

The history of Bacardi itself dates back to 1862 in Cuba, where Don Facundo Bacardí founded the company’s first distillery. Oakheart appeared much later — in 2011 — as a separate spiced drink in the brand’s range, with an emphasis on oak aging and a richer flavor.

As a result, Oakheart is noticeably different from Bacardi’s lighter white rums. The focus here is not neutrality, but a warm combination of vanilla, caramel, honey, spices, and lightly charred oak.
