A. Le Coq Premium 0.5 L - 6X

A. Le Coq Premium is a pale lager with an alcohol content of 4.7%, brewed in Tartu. It is one of the most recognizable A. Le Coq beers and a truly local product: the beer is brewed here in Estonia.

Premium has a light golden color and lively carbonation. The taste begins with a subtle malty sweetness, followed by fresh hop bitterness. It is gentle enough not to overpower the rest of the flavor, making the beer easy to drink and refreshing.

The aroma is distinctly hoppy, complemented by a light bready note. There is no heavy sweetness or strong bitterness — the taste remains balanced from the first sip through to the finish.

It is made with water, barley malt, barley, hops, and hop extracts. The bitterness is 15 IBU — a relatively mild level that allows the hops to be noticeable without becoming the dominant part of the flavor.

A. Le Coq Premium is best served chilled to 6–8 °C. It pairs well with grilled meat, burgers, snacks, and simple home-cooked food, but is also pleasant to drink on its own.

The modern history of Premium is closely linked to the return of the A. Le Coq brand in 1999. Premium, together with Porter and Pilsner, was among the first beers released after the revival of the brand. The brewery in Tartu has a much longer history, and today A. Le Coq is considered Estonia’s oldest continuously operating brewery.

For local consumers, A. Le Coq Premium is neither exotic nor an attempt to surprise with an unusual taste. It is familiar Estonian pale beer: fresh, moderately bitter, and exactly what you want from a cold lager.
