Jägermeister 0.5 L

Jägermeister is a German herbal liqueur with an alcohol content of 35%, produced in Wolfenbüttel. Its recipe was created in 1934 and has remained unchanged ever since. The exact formula is still kept secret.

The main thing that is known is that Jägermeister is based on 56 natural ingredients — herbs, flowers, roots, and fruits from different countries. Several separate infusions are made from them and then combined into a single base.

The taste of Jägermeister is difficult to confuse with any other liqueur. It is sweet, bitter, and spicy at the same time, with a pronounced herbal character. It is precisely this combination of sweetness and bitterness that makes it recognizable from the very first sip.

After preparation, the herbal base matures in oak barrels for around a year. Only after that are water, alcohol, caramel, and liquid sugar added, and the finished liqueur is bottled in its signature green bottles.

The simplest and perhaps most proper way to drink Jägermeister is to chill it well and serve it neat in small shot glasses. The producer recommends a temperature of −18 °C: the bottle can be kept directly in the freezer and taken out just before serving.

Jägermeister is also used in cocktails and mixed with various drinks, but an ice-cold shot remains its signature serve. There is no need for ice, garnishes, or complicated recipes — the cold and the liqueur itself already deliver the flavor that has made Jägermeister famous around the world.
